I love waking up early every morning even on weekends. There are so much to discover during those peaceful time when most people still curled up on the bed. One of the frequent visit I have done in the early weekend morning is to visit morning pastry market (pasar subuh) at Blok M, South Jakarta. It is always a great feeling to come to this buzzling place after a smooth peaceful ride.
Blok M is located at Kebayoran Baru District in South Jakarta. Easily accessed by public transportation especially bus as this place also house the bus terminal which serve almost all busses to other places in Jakarta, including
Transjakarta route. You can also take
Damri Bus from airport directly to Blok M with the cost of Rp40000 (pay on the bus). Next to bus terminal are Blok M square (where the morning pastry market is) and Plaza Blok M. Blok M Mall is located underground of the bus terminal.
The market is located near the main entrance of Blok M square, where the taxi normally stop and pick customers. One need to arrive early for the pastry morning market, as by 8 am, the stalls will start to be dismantled. The business start as early as 4.30am, where so many stalls of colourful local pastries, delicacies and cakes being filled up and customers start to shop for their choices.
Enjoy all the photos below, and let the story flow....
